Legend Merchant Group

An investment firm is only as good as its performance.

We can only win when our clients win. But winning is not only about performance. It’s about credibility; acting with integrity; it is about doing what we say we will do, every time.

Legend Merchant Group, Inc. is a private investment firm, based in New York City and San Francisco. The firm’s primary businesses are investment & merchant banking, brokerage and asset management. Legend’s philosophy is to develop its business in industries where its professionals can bring together their substantial capital markets expertise, investment banking skills and in-depth operating and managerial experience. Our strategy has been to select specific areas of business where we can combine these elements into a relationship geared towards long-term growth and capital appreciation.

Since its inception, Legend and its principals have provided strategic planning and investment banking services to a variety of public and private companies ranging in size from family owned businesses to large multi-national corporations. The firm provides a wide range of investment banking services including raising capital, valuing companies, rendering fairness opinions and advising on divestitures, acquisitions, restructurings and recapitalizations. During the past few years, Legend and its principals have secured over US$1 billion in funding and commitments from many of the world’s leading financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, endowments, and other institutions and private capital sources.

LMG is also an active participant in Private Investments in Public Equities (“PIPEs”) as well as private placements for companies in various industries, including technology, biotechnology, oil & gas and entertainment as well as US listed China based companies.

LMG was created in 2002 when Management purchased an existing (but largely dormant) registered Broker-Dealer in an effort to create a platform to build a significant enterprise in the small to middle market investment banking space. Subsequently, the BD was recapitalized, re-flagged, and re-directed to address the current business mix.
