Well-Known Trader Joins Legend Merchant Group

Sean Gambino To Offer Sophisticated Trading in SPAC and Other Securities

New York, February 14, 2008

Sean Gambino, widely acknowledged in the financial industry and media for his successful trading strategies, has joined Legend Merchant Group. Mr. Gambino becomes Managing Director & Head of Trading for Legend, a boutique investment bank known for its Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), bio-med, security and M&A practices.

“Legend is center-stage in several of the market’s most dynamic sectors, including its participation in over half the SPAC IPOs completed to date. We have now assembled a sophisticated trading operation to take a similar leadership position in the industry,” said Mr. Gambino.

“Already a leader in SPAC trading, Legend can now offer Sean’s proprietary strategies, including algorithmic and portfolio trading, for this asset class and the many other products in demand by our clients, which include leading institutional asset managers, long/short equity funds, endowments and pension funds,” said David “Chip” Unsworth, Chairman and CEO of Legend.

Mr. Gambino joins Legend from BGC Partners LP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald. As Head of Equities there he was in charge of all equity trading and developed proprietary trading programs and a daily research product. Mr. Gambino began his Wall Street career with Morgan Stanley & Co. in the firm’s Private Client Services division, where he won the prestigious National Sales Director Award given to the firm’s top one percent of brokers. He was also a founding partner of the hedge fund Gold Coast Partners LP, served as a senior equity trader for Opus Funds and worked for Jefferies & Co., where he led Jefferies Direct on the floor of the NYSE focusing on institutional executions for major US funds.

“From formation of new SPACs to trading of their securities in the aftermarket, Legend is now the partner of choice for fund managers, founders, and investment banking syndicate partners seeking the comprehensive services of a large bank with the client focus of a boutique,” said Tom Gallagher, President & COO of the firm.

Mr. Gambino attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he studied corporate finance and global economics. He is a regular contributor to Trader Monthly Magazine, has been featured on such media outlets as CNBC and is a member of the Security Traders Association of New York. Mr. Gambino holds Series 7, 25, 31, 55 and 63 Registrations.
